In the first two weeks of January the Grinch comes, puts the tree in a bag and carries it out. The needles stay in the bag, not on the stairs.

Frequently asked questions
How do you guarantee the quality of the trees?
Every tree is personally marked and selected by the Dārza Draugi team. Before we place an order, we tag each tree ourselves. We work with a respected grower that has been in the tree nursery business for more than 40 years and puts quality ahead of volume.
The trees are cut properly and rested for 5 days at outdoor temperature, and only then packed and delivered to us. Every tree is stored carefully in our cold warehouse under a roof at outdoor temperature and never kept warm, so the needles hold.
If for any reason your tree sheds its needles before Christmas, we guarantee an immediate replacement with a new tree at no extra cost!
Is tree delivery free everywhere?
We deliver trees for free in Riga and within 50 km of our base. Delivery to Jūrmala costs 5 €, free for orders from 100 €. The special zone (Sigulda to Lielvārde, and Vecumnieki) costs 15 €, Bauska 20 €, and for places further away we agree the price by phone.
You can add collection after the holidays when you order, for 5 €. If you ask for it later, collection costs 15 €.
You are also welcome to come yourself and choose your favourite tree together with your family and four-legged friends, enjoying hot drinks on site! Location: Lotes, Klīves, Babītes pagasts, Mārupes novads.
Will the courier help carry the tree in?
Of course! We will help you carry the tree to your door or to the spot where you want it, at no extra cost.
We carry the tree up to the 5th floor if the building has no lift. Anything beyond that we agree by phone.
What are the delivery times?
You can choose delivery on a date that suits you, in different time slots, at no extra cost.
Time slots: 8:00–12:00 | 12:00–16:00 | 16:00–22:00
We deliver every day from 1 December to 5 January. Trees are collected in the first and second week of January; we agree the day through a form we send after the holidays.
Special deliveries: outside working hours 20 EUR extra. A specific time with 1 hour precision during working hours 25 EUR. Delivery on the holidays, 24 and 31 December, 45 EUR.
Will you take the tree away too?
Yes, of course! The Grinch will take care of taking your tree away, but this year, with fuel prices up, collection carries a symbolic 5 € charge so the Grinch is not so grumpy. Booked after you have placed the order, it costs 15 €.
After the holidays we send you a form to pick the day and time, in the first or second week of January.
Does Santa do every delivery?
Yes! Every tree is brought by Santa, and he calls when he is on his way.
Want to write us a letter?
A question about size, address or an office order? Write or call us and we will sort it out. Calling is quicker, because the Grinch sometimes likes to delete letters or forget to answer them.
