Terms of service

1. Goods and prices

All prices are in euro and include value added tax. The price covers delivery in Riga and the surrounding area, carried out by Santa. The stand and the Grinch pickup are separate paid items.

Several trees in one order get a discount: two trees 5 %, three to five 8 %, six or more 10 %. A discount code and the volume discount do not stack; the larger of the two applies.

The final amount, including the delivery fee, is shown in the cart before you confirm the order.

2. Placing an order

You can order on the website or by phone on +371 20066833. On the website you choose the tree, the delivery address, the day and the time window, and the payment method.

The contract is concluded when we have sent the order confirmation to your email. If it does not arrive within 15 minutes, check your spam folder and contact us.

Orders can be placed in Latvian, English or Russian. Order data is stored and you can request a copy at any time by writing to info@darzadraugi.lv.

3. Payment

You can pay online by bank payment or card, in cash to Santa at delivery, or by bank transfer against an invoice if you order on behalf of a company.

Online payments are processed by a payment service provider. We never see or store your card details.

If a payment fails, the order stays unpaid and you can pay again from the link on the order page.

4. Delivery

We deliver from 1 December to 5 January in three time windows: 8:00-12:00, 12:00-16:00 and 16:00-22:00. Delivery is free in Riga and the surrounding area, costs 5 € in Jūrmala and is free there for orders from 100 €. In the special zone beyond the Riga area delivery costs 15 €, and to Bauska 20 €. Elsewhere in Latvia we agree the delivery and the price by phone.

Someone has to be at home during the chosen window to receive the tree. If nobody is there or the number cannot be reached, we will call and agree a new time.

If weather or other circumstances beyond our control prevent delivery on the chosen day, we will offer the nearest possible time or refund the full amount.

5. Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the tree, without giving a reason. Tell us by writing to info@darzadraugi.lv or calling +371 20066833.

The tree must be returned in the same condition in which it was received, without decorations and undamaged. The cost of returning the goods is borne by the buyer unless we have agreed otherwise.

We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back or proof that they have been sent, to the same account the payment came from.

6. Quality and complaints

Every tree is picked by us. If the tree you receive is not what was promised, we replace it or refund your money.

A consumer has the right to raise a claim about goods not conforming to the contract within two years, under the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law. Send complaints in writing to info@darzadraugi.lv; we answer within 15 working days.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can turn to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (Brīvības iela 55, Riga, ptac.gov.lv).

7. Grinch pickup

Taking the tree away after the holidays can be added to the order for 5 €. Ordered separately later it costs 15 €.

We collect on set days in the first and second week of January. We agree the day and time through a form we send after the holidays. If the form has not arrived, call +371 20066833.

We collect the tree from the address you gave. It must be free of decorations and reachable at the agreed time.

8. Gift cards

A gift card can be bought on the website for 20 to 500 € and paid online. The card becomes valid as soon as the payment arrives, and we send the code to the buyer's email.

The card is valid for 12 months from the day it is bought. It can be used for trees, the stand, Grinch collection and delivery. If an order costs less than the balance, the rest stays on the card until it expires. If the order costs more, the difference is paid with any other payment method.

The card cannot be exchanged for cash. If an order paid with the card is cancelled, the amount goes back onto the card. We can restore a lost code if the buyer contacts us from the same email address.

The right of withdrawal for a gift card is 14 days from purchase, as long as the card has not been used.

9. Changing and cancelling an order

The delivery day and time window can be changed by calling +371 20066833 at least a day before the chosen time. Tell us as early as you can: every window is limited.

An order can be cancelled at any time before delivery. If it has already been paid, we refund within 14 days.

We may cancel an order if the chosen tree is no longer available or delivery is impossible. In that case we offer an equivalent tree or refund the full amount.

10. Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia.

We settle disputes by talking first. If no agreement is reached, a consumer can turn to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre or to a court of the Republic of Latvia.

We may change these terms. The version in force at the time of the order applies to that order.
